Matcha Kibō comes to us from about 20 miles (32 km) outside of Kyoto city. It is a rather elusive matcha. The flavor has moments of strong impression, but it’s not easy to pick out a predominate flavor. However, the pleasant aftertaste lingers, sometimes much longer than you first realized. Our experience was that nearly an hour later, having had nothing else to eat or drink, we found ourselves still getting flashes of the lingering matcha. Quite a feeling of hope.
